If you need spiritual guidance, we can at least take you there!
Come with us on a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Fátima, the most holy of places in Portugal. Explore caves, gothic convents and medieval walled citadels.
We start in the town of Fátima, home to one of the biggest catholic shrines in the world, erected in honour of the Holy Virgin Mary, after she miraculously appeared here to three shepherd children in 1917. The tour continues on to the nearby limestone caves of Moeda, filled with astonishing passageways, springs and grottoes. Before leaving Fátima, we head to a famous, local snack-bar to try an otherwordly leitão sandwich. Then, it’s on to the town of Batalha, where you will visit the medieval Batalha Monastery, one of the best examples of gothic-manueline architecture. We will end the tour at the walled citadel of Óbidos, founded in 1157, a place that will make you feel as if you were in the Middle Ages.
